My fiancé had my ring made and it did not turn out as expected but he was so excited to propose that he didn't want to have the ring remade. So I ended up with a rather clumsy looking ring for a long while. With the wedding drawing closer I really could not even bear the sight of this ring being in one of the photos! So of course, I ended up at your door.  When I brought the raggedy, clumsy and slightly unattractive ring to you I was hoping that maybe... just maybe, you would be able to make it look a little better. You did much more than that... You made a dream come true!!!

I‘ll leave the “Oooh, what a beautiful ring!” compliments to my now very happy fiancée.  I however would like to give the following reasons as to why it has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Petra Jewellery Design in the making of my engagement ring.

  1. Attention to detail.  I initially came with my own diamond which I had purchased from a local diamond internet wholesaler.  Petra had a feeling that the Colour and Clarity grading stated on the EGL International certificate were incorrect and had the stone re-graded at EGL South Africa.  She proved to be right.  I doubt whether any other jeweller would have picked up the discrepancy, the one from where I had purchased the initial diamond from certainly did not!
  2. Risk taking and creativity in trying something new.  I came with my own design which was an adaptation of some existing design.  She was all fired up in trying something new which has not been tried before.  My idea did not completely work out, I think it would have worked with a larger diamond though, but the ring still came out stunning!  Many other jewellers prefer to rather stick to already made designs; the easier their life, the better for them!
  3. No rushing through the decision process.  I felt at ease in communicating to her any changes I had in mind and when I was getting worried that my deadline was approaching and I felt hastened in selecting the next available replacement diamond, she thought it was a better option to rather still wait a little longer and select from a few alternatives instead, assuring me on top of it, that the ring will be finished by the deadline! It was.

Quality and value for money are usually what customers are after, but they come standard with Petra Jewellery Design.  These three reasons are my reasons why I would recommend Petra Jewellery Design to anybody that would like to have any piece of jewellery made!

You made the entire process so simple and I can’t believe the amount of time I wasted on the internet trying to research diamonds & rings.
